I cannot recall the nurse's name that attended to me on my two visits (she is short, small feet, always smiling, did her training in Africa) I would rate this nurse as extremely friendly, she makes the patient feels comfortable at all times. I hope that RVI is rewarding her to the best she that she feel motivated to continue to inspire those of us who visit for treatment. As when one is sick, they do need a cheerful, friendly, patience and kind nurse.

i received a letter from Dr Neely with a sheet for a new patient and that i should have blood tests and a glucose test. But i am not a new patient last time i seen Dr Neely was in 2009 on the 5th january i spoke to Dr Neely secretary and she said she wanted to know who wrote the letter and that there was no record of me on the system. I want to know what has happened to my medical notes from Dr Neely and also i want to know what is going to happen now

I felt like I was a private patient, as the care and attention received recently at the RVI was exeptional. The consultants have time for you, and the nursing staff are second to none. Made a stressful time more bearable.

The New Victoria Wing was extremely clean and well signed. The well thought out use of space inside the buiding made the visit a lot more pleasant than expected, as it was not at all as dark and despressing as some. The waiting/reception areas were also comfortable. The only downside to the the RVI is the lack of good quality parking space.

I was an Outpatient only however I found the staff very helpful, the hospital clean and I had very little time to wait for my appointment. The delays appear to occur at the Pharmacy department where a wait of 20 - 30 minutes appears to be standard for a prescription to be dispensed.

After two years of being undercared for by my local hospital it was wonderful to experience the professionalism, care, concern, and cheerfulness of all the staff and the efficient appointment system at RVI. The atmosphere within this hospital makes an appointment here a very special visit. I chose to travel to Newcastle for expert advice rather than London and I am delighted with my choice. Top marks RVI!
